Well Momma, the summer is over. Not officially, but how many of us plan around the moon cycle versus the school year?
For some of you the kids are already back in school, for others it will be early September.
My house is empty and it’s been a weird transition.
The whole summer has been weird, but dropping the baby off at college was a positive flipping point. Life didn’t stop there, it threw a lot more our way and I spent a week alone immediately as my hubby went to take care of his sick Dad.
Talk about back to basics. I’ve been in my own head for good or bad. I’ve had no one to blame for any of my good or bad habits. I’ve come to terms with a lot of things and feeling quite good.
See being a Healthy Busy Momma isn’t about the scale or just your food or just your workout. Being healthy is your entire life and how you approach it.
We’re going to work on the 5 “F” words in our September challenge.
5 “F” words? WTF are you talking about Val?
- Focus on emotions
- Free up your time
Those are what September will be about. Pretty easy right?
There will be specific steps to take for each F word and we’re going to start on September 1st.
So just what do I mean by the Back to YOU challenge?
The summer sucks the life right out of us. It’s filled with non-stop fun. Don’t get me wrong. I loved having the kids home each summer and all the fun we had. But I found that anything I wanted to do was dropped. The focus was completely on the family and memories.
With good reason, the time we have with the kids is short. I get it and I respect that. So we’re going to get Back to YOU now that they are back in school. Fitness, food, emotions, the works. September is going to be all about you.
I have only one payment option for this challenge. I want your commitment and participation. Yes, things are going to come up, they always do. We’re going to work through them, but you have to be ready right now to work through anything. I mean anything. I don’t want excuses, I want commitment. That way you can hit the end of 30 days a better you.
If you are going to make excuses while not working to better yourself, don’t bother signing up. The challenge isn’t for you. I want to hear your struggles, but I don’t want to hear you hide behind them. I want to see you working to bust them up and move on.

Yes, you read all that correctly. This challenge is free to join. We’re going to work on real ideas and no fad diets or quick fixes. In fact, we’re not going to work on the scale at all lol
